Key Responsibilities

  • •Independently verify QHSE compliance by confirming investigations, assessment scores, and audit results reflect real conditions, and close the loop on corrective actions by tracking effectiveness in reducing repeat risk.
  • •Oversee investigation and corrective action follow-through by monitoring submission and closure rates across the Port & Terminal business and verifying accuracy of incident, hazard, and near-miss data in QHSE systems.
  • •Broaden internal audit scope beyond ISO minimums by leading internal audit programs across Quality, Health, Safety, and Environmental management systems and representing the organization in accreditation and certification audits.
  • •Own In-Vehicle Monitoring System (IVMS) deployment and engineering-control compliance, supporting rollout of proximity sensors, interlocks, and guarding reviews across high-risk equipment, and reporting effectiveness to the P&T QHSE Head.
  • •Drive leading indicator and loss prevention programs by owning hazard and near-miss reporting engagement, improving Stop Work Authority usage rates, and fostering a non-punitive reporting culture.

Key Requirements

  • •8–10 years of experience in compliance, loss prevention, quality assurance, or internal audit, independently verifying operational data and driving corrective-action follow-through to closure.
  • •Knowledge of ISO and other international standards for Quality, Environment, and Occupational Health & Safety.
  • •Post-graduate qualification in Safety, Quality, or Compliance, plus an educational degree in Science–Engineering–Agriculture or related.
  • •NEBOSH Diploma in managing Health and Safety (or equivalent) and Lead Auditor certification.
  • •Driving License.
