Key Responsibilities

  • •Investigate, develop, and implement activities to reduce machine downtime and increase process efficiency across plant operations.
  • •Review, assess, and design safety devices and controls as needed.
  • •Research, design, and develop industrial control systems and provide ongoing maintenance support and resolution of control system problems to completion.
  • •Develop and administer web-based control system tools using SharePoint, Ignition, and related platforms; improve PLC and HMI systems.
  • •Manage capital projects from conception through installation as directed by the supervisor, following OSHA, EPA, SQF, and local code regulations while coordinating with vendors and internal departments.

Key Requirements

  • •Provide corrective actions and continuous improvement by investigating, developing, and implementing activities to reduce machine downtime and improve process efficiency.
  • •Design and assess safety devices and controls, and research/develop industrial controls systems in consultation with equipment manufacturers.
  • •Develop, modify, and improve PLC and HMI systems; provide production-environment technical support (primarily Allen Bradley with some Siemens and Omron).
  • •Create electrical and mechanical documentation, design modifications, and programs; develop and implement work instructions.
  • •Hold a college degree in an associated field (or applied experience) and knowledge of PLC and RS Logic to test/adjust equipment; high school diploma or GED equivalency required.
