Job Function: Transportation & Fleet Operations

Key Responsibilities

  • •Operate the vehicle according to applicable state and federal transportation laws.
  • •Transport loads safely and timely on required routes while obeying traffic laws and safety regulations.
  • •Maneuver truck and trailer into loading/unloading areas and follow loading crew signals.
  • •Load and unload goods and materials using specialized equipment when warranted, including unloading empty skids and returning equipment.
  • •Maintain and deliver required delivery paperwork (invoices, shipping bills of lading) and perform routine service checks; report maintenance issues to the Shipping Supervisor.

Key Requirements

  • •Hold a commercial drivers license (Class A CDL) or chauffeur’s license as required for the vehicle operated.
  • •Pass background and drug testing per federal/state DOT regulations and pass a DOT physical (trucks over 10k lbs).
  • •Be at least 21 years old to operate the company vehicle.
  • •Maintain professional, courteous customer and staff communication at delivery points.
  • •Be able to meet physical demands including prolonged sitting and lifting/moving up to 40 pounds, with frequent travel as required.
