Key Responsibilities

  • •Build and maintain the distributed high-performance platform in scope of the role.
  • •Contribute to architectural design decisions and ensure platform scalability.
  • •Mentor and coach junior engineers and peers, promoting continuous growth and feedback within the team.
  • •Launch code quickly to impact multiple businesses and shoppers, within a few weeks of joining.
  • •Collaborate across teams and time zones to review code, share feedback, and improve core financial data processes and finance infrastructure.

Key Requirements

  • •Must have strong experience with object-oriented programming languages (Java) and senior-level software engineering skills.
  • •Experience mentoring developers (not managing) and a deep understanding of architectural software design.
  • •Proficiency in creating performance database queries and table structures (SQL/PostgreSQL).
  • •Clear and concise communication, able to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical peers.
  • •Tech stack familiarity: Java 17, RESTful web services, SQL/PostgreSQL (MyBatis ORM), Tomcat, Gradle, CockroachDB and Elasticsearch.
