Key Responsibilities

  • •Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI-powered products that change how customers interact with their money.
  • •Leverage a broad stack of AI technologies (e.g., PyTorch, AWS Ultraclusters, Hugging Face, Lightning, VectorDBs) to extract insights from large numeric and textual datasets.
  • •Build and iterate AI foundation models across design, training, evaluation, validation, and implementation phases.
  • •Engage in high-impact applied research to translate state-of-the-art AI developments into next-generation customer experiences.
  • •Translate complex technical work into tangible business goals and support team/stakeholder decision-making.

Pay and Benefits

Salary: USD 262,500 - 326,800 annually

Key Requirements

  • •Have, or be in the process of obtaining, a PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, or related fields, with the degree obtained on or before the scheduled start date plus 2 years of Applied Research experience.
  • •Or have an M.S. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, AI, Mathematics, or related fields plus 4 years of Applied Research experience.
  • •Hands-on experience developing AI foundation models and solutions using open-source tools and cloud computing platforms.
  • •Experience delivering large deep learning models (language, images, events, or graphs) and expertise in one or more areas such as training optimization, self-supervised learning, robustness, explainability, or RLHF.
  • •Ability to own and pursue a research agenda, choosing impactful problems and independently running long-running projects.
