Job Summary

Install and repair telematics systems and devices on vehicles and construction/heavy equipment at the rental facility in Billings, MT. Work Monday–Friday with possible overtime and on-call scheduling, travel to client sites and regional rental yards, and handle everything from power/ignition/ground setups to complex wiring harness integrations with the CAN network. Troubleshoot issues, operate machinery for testing, and represent the EquipmentShare platform and brand in the field.

Key Responsibilities

•Install and repair telematics systems and devices on vehicles, construction equipment, heavy equipment, and customer assets.
•Remove and replace ignition systems (without a custom keypad/controller) and integrate keypad-to-telematics communication.
•Handle installation scenarios from basic power/ignition/ground to complex wiring harness work accessing the CAN network.
•Operate machinery at times during installation for testing purposes and travel to client sites or rental yards in the region.
•Identify and resolve problems, gather/analyze information, and develop alternative solutions as needed.
