Key Responsibilities

  • •Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical, electronic, automation, and instrumentation systems onboard the Cutter Suction Dredger.
  • •Ensure safe and reliable operation of power generation, power distribution, dredging electrical systems, propulsion auxiliaries, and vessel automation.
  • •Carry out planned preventive maintenance and corrective repairs in accordance with the Planned Maintenance System (PMS).
  • •Diagnose and rectify faults on PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, switchboards, generators, motors, sensors, alarms, and control systems; monitor load distribution and insulation/protection systems.
  • •Apply PTW and LOTO (and other electrical isolation procedures), maintain accurate maintenance records, ensure compliance with ISM/Class/Flag State requirements, and coordinate with ship leadership and departments.

Key Requirements

  • •Bachelor's degree in electrical/Electronics & Automation Engineering.
  • •5-10 years' experience on a dredger or in heavy industries with automation.
  • •Basic STCW training certification with medical fitness certificate.
  • •Ability to diagnose and rectify faults across PLCs, VFDs, MCCs, switchboards, generators, motors, sensors, alarms, and control systems.
  • •Knowledge of planned preventive maintenance and corrective repairs under a Planned Maintenance System (PMS), including electrical isolation procedures.
