Key Responsibilities

  • •Lead and manage the fire engineering team, Defence workload management, project delivery and performance.
  • •Oversee delivery of large, complex Defence projects ensuring regulatory compliance and client satisfaction.
  • •Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams and national leadership to deliver projects on time and within budget.
  • •Lead performance and review processes by setting SMART goals for team members and conducting staff appraisals.
  • •Develop staff PDPs and mentor team to achieve Chartership and broaden expertise.

Key Requirements

  • •Extensive experience in a large multi-disciplinary environment
  • •Knowledge of UK standards (ADB, BS 9991/9999/9992, HTM 05-02, BB100) and Defence standards (JSP 80, DIFS)
  • •Proficiency with fire engineering tools (FDS, SFE, evacuation modelling)
  • •Membership in professional institutions (e.g., MIFireE) and NFPA certifications (CFPE)
  • •BEng/MEng or MSc in fire science/engineering
