Job Summary

Develop approval drawings and prototypes for single-use systems, ensuring designs meet customer performance and quality requirements. Own product costing, cost analysis, and cost optimization to support profitability and operational efficiency. Act as a project lead across customers, third-party labs, and the commercial team, including selecting components, engineering connections, performing tests, and maintaining engineering documentation, BOM, and MOM in the ERP system.

Key Responsibilities

•Develop custom single-use system assemblies through understanding of bioprocess.
•Create approval drawings based on customer or account manager sketches/descriptions.
•Lead projects between customers, third-party labs, and the commercial team to keep timelines on plan.
•Select subcomponents and engineer connections to meet requirements (e.g., temperature, pressure), including test protocols and physical tests.
•Maintain engineering documents and support product costing, feasibility, cost estimation, and validation packets; enter/maintain BOM and MOM in the ERP system.

Travel: Low travel

Key Requirements

•Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Bioscience Engineering (or related field) and/or equivalent experience, education and training.
•1-2+ years of AutoCAD or similar engineering software experience (2D and 3D).
•Proficiency with Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel.
•SolidWorks experience is highly preferred.
•Organizational and communication skills with the ability to develop and maintain customer and supplier relationships.
