Job Summary

Design and architect platform infrastructure solutions, producing high-level designs and ensuring new solutions meet non-functional requirements for performance, scalability, availability, security, and manageability. Own the technology roadmap for Platform/Unix solutions aligned to end-of-support dates, collaborate with Delivery, Engineering, and Operations, and evaluate products for current and future use. Identify and communicate technical risks and trial new technologies to drive continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

•Produce high-level designs for platform infrastructure solutions.
•Maintain the technology roadmap for Platform/Unix solutions aligned to end-of-support dates.
•Work closely with cross-functional teams including Delivery, Engineering, and Operations.
•Ensure solutions conform to policies/standards and meet non-functional requirements (performance, scalability, availability, security, manageability).
•Identify, assess, and communicate technical risks; evaluate and trial new technologies.

Key Requirements

•In-depth knowledge of Linux operating systems (Oracle Linux / RHEL).
•In-depth knowledge of virtualization technologies (OVM, KVM, OLVM).
•In-depth knowledge of VMware (ESX).
•Significant experience in a demanding, high-availability environment.
•Proven ability to deliver complex technical designs and architectures, and communicate them to technical and non-technical audiences.
