Key Responsibilities

  • •Serve as primary liaison between Zapier’s India operations and global leadership, ensuring alignment and escalating key issues.
  • •Lead overall India operations by translating global strategy into local execution and providing updates to US leadership.
  • •Act as the senior-most site leader for all India-based employees, establishing governance rhythms and driving a values-driven 100% remote team.
  • •Serve as statutory Board Director for Zapier India, including attending board meetings, approving minutes/resolutions, and signing statutory filings.
  • •Ensure full statutory, tax, and financial compliance for the Indian legal entity and serve as the primary point of contact for external auditors and Indian regulatory authorities.

Key Requirements

  • •15-20+ years of experience, including 5+ years leading a site in India, serving as GM/COO/country-head for multinational companies.
  • •Strong business acumen and ability to manage stakeholders in a global matrix organization.
  • •Knowledge of financial/legal entity and statutory compliance, audit, tax, and transfer pricing, including experience with Big 4 firms and/or legal counsel on India matters.
  • •Strong people leadership, with experience across hiring, performance management, employee relations, and terminations in an Indian context.
  • •Comfort taking statutory director responsibilities, signing board/compliance documents, and handling related personal liability.
